Finally decided on a,”design” and made the frames front suspension section

Beware: Organization has gone by the wayside these past couple months

The plan is to go back through with a jig and make sure the bars for the suspension pickups are perfect before committing. The frame is off by around 5mm so it can’t be trusted for making measurements, ill need to re-run a reference down the center (which I’ve done but not very accurately or well)

Here is the first mockup of the sc400 steering column, after this is mounted it will start looking like a real car (in my mind)

Transmission adapter is set, still waiting on the flywheel bolt$ but I’ve got enough to make drivetrain mounts once I’m feeling frisky. When the engines mounted the wiring harness can be finished since fuse panel placement will be known.

With a 400 hp twin turbo I suspect it will be terrifying. I recall reading that the Cheatah was a handfull and it appears that the Cheetah was a mid motor. I will watch for reports..

Love the cheetahs body.

This should be terrifying but slightly less so, its wheelbase will be about 10" more and the track width 64", about 5" wider.

How awful is half a cm out of whack?

Did you figure out a way for your lower body to fit in there well enough to operate the pedals?

Im not sure how bad it really is to be off, but this is still about learning so I should aim to get close.

The footwell ended up being made to fit the transmission with little regard for my feet, however there does seem to be enough room for the pedals to be feasible

Thanks, don’t think I’m being critical of what you are attempting here.  The farther you get the more it becomes apparent how difficult it is.
